Fuel for a new era.....

Helium as a gas does no magic unlike the natural gas and lpg's but it is sure to hit the markets as a bright new fuel that rocks the world in a state when natural oils and fuels come to a still. It is a joint venture of the Oil and Natural Gas Commission and Kolkata based Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre to identify and harness the Helium resources. Spread widely in its applications, helium is used in defense, nuclear technology, space research, medical sciences, etc., it is mainly imported into India, mainly from US. It is at this hour, that the geysers found in Kuthalam offshore oilfields, about 30 km from Pondicherry is selected for installation of a prototype plant. Scientists feel that the Indian hot springs and oil fields has stored abundant helium resources in its stomach for future use.
